Quebec Social Forum
The Quebec Esperanto Society took part in the Quebec Social Forum, from the 23rd to the 26th of August 2007. The Social Forum was a success with more than 5000 participants from all province and elsewhere, and esperanto supporters had the opportunity to have their voice heard, among other things with the workshop "What language(s) for the alternative glozalization movement?", as well as with an information table on the 24th and 25th of august, in collaboration with the group Esperanto-UQAM. The Quebec Esperanto Society was also part of the festive demonstration in the streets of Montreal on Sunday the 26th, and then distributed hundreds of flyers. The group Esperanto-UQAM set up a website, to stimulate discussion surrounding democracy and fairness in international communication, including within the alternative glozalization movement.
