14th Fall Esperanto Weekend

at Silver Bay, Lake George, NY, USA

October 5-8 2007 (Canadian Thanksgiving, US Columbus Day)

The fall get together will take place in Silver Bay. Come and enjoy the beautiful scenery, the friendly atmosphere, meet friends from all over North America and take part in a rich program of activities.

What is A.R.E.?

A.R.E. stands for Aùtuna Renkontigho Esperantista (the fall meeting of Esperanto), a meeting of North-Eastern Esperantists which lasts over Canada's Thanksgiving and the U.S. Columbus week ends . This meeting is organized by both the Québec Esperanto Society and various other Esperantists Associations.

Program

The weekend begins on Saturday, October 6th at 2 pm and ends on Monday, October 8th at noon.
It is possible to arrive one day earlier to enjoy more of the weekend.

Program is multilevel: there will be classes for beginners, intermediate and various speeches for people fluent in the language. One could also go hiking. On Saturday night, one would get the chance to meet other interesting people. On Sunday evening, we'll hold our usual talent show. So, if you have a talent you'd like to share, feel welcomed to do so.

If you'd like to take part in our talent show, please let us know in advance so we can plan accordingly.

Who's going to be there?

Over the past 11 years, we've had between 50 to 80 people joining us from Québec, Ontario, New-England, as well as from the United-Kingdom, Germany, Switzerland and even...Japan! Ages range between 2 and 80!

Bring your family and friends: the inn is by beautiful Lake George, so one can rest as much as one can learn, meet new people and have fun.
